Friday is here, and that means cheat day! The principle being that having a cheat day once a week allows the body to once again have fat, so that it "realises" it's not being starved of fat and therefore doesn't need to store fat. I normally keep my breakfast as per normal and have a cheat lunch and dinner (sometimes just one meal as a cheat). The thing is, it's easy to feel guilty about the cheat food as the concern is your loosing ground on the progress made during the last week of not cheating. Let's hope this principle of cheat days works, as I've not got down to 18% bodyfat and don't want to loose those gains.

This weekend will be challenging as we have family and friends coming round both Saturday and Sunday. In addition, my other half has just purchased a load of junk food for the weekend (crisps, beers, chocolate, cakes, etc.). I do fine when I'm in control of what food is in the house (i.e. I don't buy it in the first place). But I struggle more when the food is sitting there in front of me! Time to test my conviction I guess!

"Come on. Let's get serious!"
