My results from the 25th February are now in and I'm pleased to report that the numbers for the CK level are pretty much back within the normal ranges. The results are as follows:
Serum sodium level: 142 mmol/L (135.0 - 145.0)
Serum potassium level: 4.0 mmol/L (3.4 - 5.0)
Serum creatinine level: 111 umol/L (35.0 - 125.0)
Serum albumin level: 43 g/L (30.0 - 51.0)
Serum total bilirubin level: 10umol/L (0.0 - 17.0)
Serum alkaline phosphatase level: 94 u/L (30.0 - 135.0)
ALT/SGPT serum level: 41 u/L (0.0 - 50.0)
Estimated GFR: > 60
Serum creatine kinase level: 210 u/L (24.0 - 195.0) - above average
So in summary, my serum creatine kinase (CK) level has come down quite dramatically since the initial result that was coming out at 16,782 u/L and a week previous to this test was 833 u/L. I'm now off the hook with the doctors and can crack on with training again!
"Let's get serious!"
