The gym I use when I’m at work has closed for a while, which means I’m having to use the gym more in the evenings rather than at lunchtime. This makes it more difficult to manage time with the gym, family, work and my other hobbies and commitments.

Getting to and from the gym also wastes quite a bit of time at the evening and weekends - so this has prompted me to purchase some free weights for my home gym.

A while ago I purchased a bench and Olympic weights bar. However, I never got round to getting the weights to fit it (I have regular 1” size weights and a bar but they don’t fit the bench). So today, I decided to shell out for some proper weights and have purchased some Bodymax Rubber Olympic Discs (4 x 1.25kg, 4 x 2.5kg, 2 x 5kg, 2 x 10kg, 2 x 15kg, 4 x 20kg and 2 x 25kg). In addition, I purchased some spring clamps to fit the bar as well as and a tree to store the weights.

I was looking at what else I could put into the gym to maximize the amount of muscle groups I can work  with the limited space available to me.

This should go well with the punch bag and rowing machine already in there and mean I can get my workouts done with less time.
